'grounded'

waaay back in 2002, grounded made a sincere effort to bring uplifting music to the local scene.  from deep rock and roll roots sprung an abundance of original lyrics to express love, beauty, peace, faith, and the many struggles we face today. we knew we were on to something and decided to capture that sound in our self-titled, debut CD released in 2005. 

since the beginning, our mission has been to bring a message of hope in a seemingly hopeless world through well-meshed vocal harmonies and a solid rhythmic floor.  our music ranges from a delicate acoustic ballad to a full wall of sound.  come check out the diversity at our next show and be sure to tell us what you think.

we're happy to announce that we have been busy writing and tweaking our originals - which makes our rehearsals so creative and fun!  we may still play covers if requested, but our focus this year is to build our list of original tunes.  you may have heard some of our newest additions at the end of 2007 - the soulful groove of 'song of the vineyard', the pop-twang sound of 'everlasting light', and the hyper-caffeinated feel of 'get up' are among the tunes we will share with you.  we've recently added steve's bop-diddy called 'now i know', an updated version of 'bridges', some very tasty 'soulfood', and the eerie sounding 'believe'.  but wait there's more..... and you'll just have to show up live and see .....
